It does not appear until you switch the camera to Live View mode. Let's leave remote shooting out of the equation for the moment. The camera itself can fire a Canon Speedlite in Live View mode. It does not seem to matter if Exp.Sim. Is set or not. It does not seem to matter which "Silent LV Shooting" mode setting is selected, either.

MagicLantern software is not as good as many of us like to think. I use a Canon 5D Mark II and when I read about this software, I got excited, as probably many Canon user did, I ignored the warning on the download website that warns us - rightfully so - that the software can turn the camera into a brick. It sure did mine.

Mode 1. The shooting operation noise is quieter than with normal shooting through the viewfinder. When you set the drive mode to < >, you can shoot continuously at approx. 3 fps. Mode 2. When you press the shutter button completely, only one shot will be taken. While you keep holding down the shutter button, the camera operation will be suspended.

Close battery and memory card doors. Turn power switch to ON position, press shutter button and hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Turn power switch OFF. This should clear internal memory and reset to factory conditions. Refit battery, close door, turn power switch ON. Thanks for taking time to reply.
Hi community, I purchased a new Canon 6d mark 2 last year August It has never come on for once and each time I ship to Canon service center for repairs, it comes back with the same problem. This camera has literally never taken a single image since purchase and Canon would not do a refund/replac Press the button to bring up the menu display. 3. Under the [ ] (Set-up 4) tab, select [Sensor cleaning], then press the < > button. 4. The screen below will appear. Select [Clean now], then press the < > button. 5. Select [OK], then press the < > button. The screen will indicate that the sensor is being cleaned. About all you can do is check the interlock is not set to on, on the SD cards. Probably a good idea to reset the camera too. Menus, tools, clear all settings and clear all custom settings. Its pretty difficult to damage the SD pins in a 6D Mk II or any SD camera for that matter but it can be done. BTW, a new SD card is always a good idea.

Remove the lens (so you can see into the front of the body. Take an exposure while looking into the front of the camera. You should visually see the reflex mirror swing up (snap up -- because it happens very quickly) and the shutter (a series of overlaping "blades" - sort of like a set of blinds) should open and close.
