devon. Aug 19, 2011. #2. Welcome to the Ducato gearbox club. Try looking at the speedo cable drive, the plastic gear wears allowing it to push up and leak oil. i had this on my 1.9TD camper. Did the speedo needle waver or tick prior to this? If it is this then it is easy to replace. If not then back to plan A.
2. Jun 8, 2012. #1. Hi .Am i right does a ducato 93 1.9td have a oil cooler by any chance?? if so where ? Ive been having overheating when upto speed and ive changed the thermostat & radiator an oil. the waterpump seems ok and head gasket no leaks! fans kik in at right temp (well 1 does!)

Even that is easier said than done as there is no dedicated filler hole but it can be refilled via the gearbox
